Overview
St. Elizabeth Catholic School provides a faith based education for students from Pre-2 to Sixth Grade. We have a rich history of over 74 years of academic excellence. We encourage our students to grow in knowledge, faith, service and love. Students receive instruction from highly qualified teachers in reading, math, science, social studies, English, and language arts.
Our student body is diverse and close-knit, averaging about 120 students from many backgrounds. These numbers, approximately a 1 to 12 teacher to student ratio, allow our teachers to work closely with each student. Individual attention is given to each student to ensure academic, spiritual and personal growth.
In August 2002, St. Elizabeth Catholic School moved into our present facility at 150 Florence Avenue. This state-of-the-art building has a computer lab, library, cafeteria, and a full court gymnasium. Located in Clarksdale, Mississippi, St. Elizabeth Catholic School is part of the Coahoma County school district and fully accredited with the state of Mississippi. It is also a member of the National Catholic Educators Association and ASCD (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development).
