News & Announcements

St. Elizabeth School to Close until April 17th. Distance Learning will take place until then. Stay Well SES families!

Dear Catholic school families:

Bishop Joseph Kopacz and I conferred today regarding the recent executive order of Governor Reeves to close public schools across the state. We decided that it is in the best interest for the common good in our communities across the Diocese of Jackson that our Catholic Schools remain closed through April 17th . We will continue to monitor information regarding COVID-19, as well as, the recommendations and directives of national, state, and local government officials. You will be notified as additional decisions are made regarding our schools.

Administration and staff in each school across the Diocese have been working tirelessly this week to prepare for the implementation of online learning for our students. I take this opportunity to recognize and thank all of our school leaders and employees for their commitment to our mission. I appreciate all they have done and will continue to do to support and partner with you, our parents, as we broaden our delivery of Catholic education during this challenging time.

I pray for and look forward to the day when we can all return to our schools. In the meantime, please be assured of our ongoing efforts to stay connected to you and provide learning for your children. You can expect additional information from your Catholic School Principal and the Office of Education as we continue to navigate this distance learning environment amid this pandemic. Your continued support and prayers sustain us and are very much appreciated.

Have a good weekend. Stay safe and healthy.

God bless you,

latest update! School is OUT for SES from MARCH 23-27 during this Coronavirus Pandemic...please see attached letter for more information!

Dear St. Elizabeth School families:

The decision has been made to close schools and early learning centers for the week of March 23-27. The following is a link to the letter from Bishop Kopacz that announces the suspension of all Masses and parish activities at Catholic churches throughout the Diocese of Jackson

We continue to monitor the COVID-19 progression in our state and will determine on a week-by-week basis if schools/centers will be able to reopen the following week. Catholic School principals will communicate to you how remote learning will be implemented for your children.

Thank you for your continued support. Keep doing your part to protect yourself and others by practicing social distancing.

God bless you and your family.
